This season, OnePlus was the first to have unveiled this year the Nord Core Edition smartphone that was a less-watered version of the original OnePlus Nord that was launched in 2013. The company is currently developing a new model of the Nord.
An new leak has revealed it is the OnePlus Nord 2 CE with model number IV2201 and codename Ivan is currently in development and the most important details regarding the phone including specs, have been released on the internet. This phone was recently discovered in the BIS certification website.
It was announced it is possible that OnePlus Nord 2 CE could have the 6.4-inch AMOLED display, with 90Hz refresh. Under the cover it runs on an MediaTek Dimensity 5G processor, which can have anywhere between 6GB and 12GB of RAM.
In terms of internal storage it will have two options – 128GB and 128GB and 256GB. It will feature a triple camera configuration on the back that includes an 64-megapixel main OmniVision lens and an ultra-wide 8-megapixel lens and a macro 2-megapixel lens. On the front the phone will feature an 16-megapixel camera for taking selfies as well as video calls.
The phone will be pre-installed with the most recent Android 12.3 operating system, with the company’s proprietary OxygenOS 12.2 as the top layer, which is a single OS developed by OnePlus along with OPPO. It’ll come with a 4500mAh battery that supports 65W quick charging.
Regarding price and availability, it’s claimed that OnePlus Nord 2 CE will be launched in the first quarter of 2022, possibly by the middle of February or the end of January. It is likely to cost between the range of Rs24,000 (~$317) to 28,000 rupees (~$370) within India.
